Purple Rain been Prince' 6th Album and is the soundtrack to the film of the same name. The record earns highest acclaims by the critics and can be find and nearly all best of lists. Purple Rain sold 13 million units in the United States and spent 24 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard album charts becoming one of the top soundtracks ever.
IMO Purple Rain is one of the best albums of the 80's. A fantastic mix out of Rock, Funk and R&B elements.
