The 2007 Microsoft Office System Service Pack 1 delivers significant updates to the 2007 Office System, including substantial performance, stability and security improvements.

Office 2007 SP1 will improve your productivity by:

- Improved performance and calendaring in Outlook.
- Improved performance in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Improved security, stability and performance across Office.

With 2007 Microsoft Office SP1 Beta, there are some important things to note before installing:

The 2007 Microsoft Office SP1 Beta is available in English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic and Chinese Simplified.

You will need to close out all applications to be updated before installing.

Users with Groove installed will have to reboot at the completion of the download.

If you cancel the 2007 Microsoft Office SP1 Beta installation before completion the part you have installed will remain at SP1 level. This happens because the 2007 Microsoft Office SP1 patch is actually a sequence of patches. Cancelling the download only stops installation of the remainder of the sequence. It doesn’t roll back previous installations.
