I've transferred an old Vhs to DVD, and then to avi, so it's a Vhs quality at the end. I tried Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum and cocked up a little bit with size, it shoud be 768x576 (4:3), but it's easily corrected in MV2 player and probably some others...
